CAPACIDAD DE USO DE LOS CAMBISOLES DE EXTREMADURA (ESPAÑA)

Abstract: The preservation of environment and the rational use of natural resources are facts that can be proved, between which the soil plays a fundamental part. A detailed knowledge of the soils and theeir evaluation, in relation to a specific use and management is absolutely necessary. Our main objetive lies in establishing the capability and the potential productivity of cambisols from Extremadura, soils that, although they are not the most numerous in the region, are majority in the areas that are considered useful agricultural surfaces. The used methods of land evaluation have already used previously in Extremadura and other Mediterranean Spanish regions. The results that have been got prove a deficient in capability agricultural use due to, mainly, poor physical fertility together with lacks as regards contents of organic matter.
