This paper gives an overview of the relatively new concept of
soil quality, in terms of complementation but not as a replacement of the traditional
land capability concept. This analysis aims a main objective: to supply a useful
tool that will allow us to apply suitable management practices for a correct
use of the soil, while contributing to its conservation.
